I think the best photos come from everyone being themselves. Are your kids energetic? Don’t lie - I’ve only seen one non-energetic child in my 4+ years of doing this, and it honestly freaked me out. Have you never seen your little boy willingly dress up in a button down and tie? Again - unless it was to be a ring bearer, it probably hasn't happened. Do you actually wear the exact same shirt and pants color any other day? I didn't think so. Then why would you do that for your family photos? Doesn't make sense when you think about it, does it?
That’s where I come in! Relaxed and fun, on-location photos, where your kids can be kids, your family can wear comfortable clothes (I do have tips on how to dress to look good and be comfortable, though!) and your photos will show you! We will get the photo of everyone all together looking at the camera and smiling, but I’ll mainly focus on capturing the little things that other people may not notice but you will love. From your daughter’s crazy laughing smile, to your little boy's stubborn face, your husband’s look of love on his face for his children, and your freckles that your mom calls angel kisses.

there are a few options for sessions to fit everyone's attention span and busy schedules! have young children with an attention span that lasts about 5 minutes at a time? or maybe your other half hates having their photo taken? keep an eye out for my mini session days! a 15 minute mini session allows us enough time to get several great family photos, and photos of your energetic little ones - both acting like themselves and some money shots.. you know, the ones that will make Grandma tear up at her beautiful grandkids! Mini sessions are done on scheduled days only and are $25. Don’t think 15 minutes is long enough? Half hour sessions allow kids (and mom + dad!) to loosen up a little bit more and will have more variety in the long run. Once people start loosening up, true personalities will start to show through! Half hour sessions are $75, with a $35 deposit due at booking, and they are done at one location. Have a big family or a couple of great spots you want to do photos? An hour long session lets us do many more combinations of photos, which is perfect for extended and blended family sessions. Hour long sessions are $150 and can be done at two locations! have a HUGE family you want photographed at multiple places? talk to me about two hour sessions!
after the session, I go through and take out any blinky, awkward face or just plain not good photos and edit the rest (including making pimples + scratches go away) to make you look your absolute best. The result is lots of gorgeous photos in high resolution which means they are ready to print in HUGE sizes! I recommend buying prints through mpix.com. their quality is top-notch, they’re affordable and quick! Mini sessions receive a digital download of images sent within 2 weeks of the session; full sessions receive a dvd which will be sent out within 3 weeks of the session! AND starting this year, photos from full sessions will also be available as a digital download which come with an app for you to download them to your phone and show them off! once you have them, you can start decorating your home with your new, beautiful photos and showing them off to your friends and family!
